Luxe vs. Classic Prints
Luxe vs. Classic Prints
Luxe Prints – Premium prints on a variety of high-end fine art paper options and frames for a sophisticated presentation. Some fit standard frames, while others maintain non-standard historical proportions.
Classic Prints – Affordable, high-quality prints with a smoother finish for sharp detail designed to fit off-the-shelf frames. Classic prints have the word 'classic' above the title and a letter which shows the sizes that the print comes in. Size A– 4x6", 12x18", 16x24", 20x30" B– 6x8", 9x12", 12x16", 18x24", 24x30" C– 8x10", 16x20"
Understanding Our Print Sizes
Understanding Our Print Sizes
Historical prints vary in proportion based on their original format. Whenever possible, we match them to the closest standard size, using common print ratios like 2:3 (e.g., 8x12) or 3:4 (e.g., 9x12). However, resizing some prints can distort the artwork's integrity, so we can only offer them in their original proportions. Additionally, we use different printers for our product lines, and not all sizes are available with every printer.
Nestled amidst the enchanting landscapes of County Kerry, Ireland, the Lakes of Killarney stand as a testament to nature's unparalleled beauty. This print of a chromolithograph vividly captures the landscape where tree-lined roads wind through lush fields amidst the majestic mountains backdrop. In the foreground, a castle stands proudly, a testament to Ireland's rich history and heritage.
Why We Picked It
This beautiful fairytale like scene is for anyone that appreciates scenic beauty and a touch of historical charm. It's an ideal way to bring the magic of Ireland's landscape into your space.
Notable Context
Chromolithography, a technique pioneered in the early 19th century, revolutionized the production of color prints by allowing artists to create vibrant and detailed images with a level of precision and richness previously unattainable. At the time, there was also a growing interest in travel and tourism during the late 19th century, as advancements in transportation and communication made it easier for people to explore distant lands and experience new cultures. Chromolithography played a pivotal role in disseminating images of natural landscapes, historical landmarks, and cultural icons to a wide audience.
About the Location
The Lakes of Killarney, a picturesque trio of lakes (Lough Leane, Muckross Lake, and Upper Lake), form a stunning centerpiece within Killarney National Park, Ireland's oldest national park. Surrounded by rugged mountains, ancient woodlands, and historic sites like Ross Castle and Muckross Abbey, the lakes are a popular destination for tourists seeking the beauty of the Irish countryside.
